LEVELCORE® PrimeLock WPM

Waterproofing and Moisture Barrier + Bonding Primer

Single-component acrylic copolymer system that seals porous mineral substrates and primes them for superior adhesion. Helps control rising damp, reduces efflorescence, and resists negative hydrostatic pressure on sound, prepared surfaces.

Why it’s different: LEVELCORE PrimeLock WPM bonds tenaciously to masonry, concrete block, concrete, and stone, and is easy to apply by brush, roller, or airless spray—no mixing, no fuss.

Ideal for: Interior commercial and residential floors and walls prior to self-leveling underlayments, tile, resilient/LVT, and coatings.

Product Description

PrimeLock WPM is a ready-to-use under-tile waterproofing membrane for wet areas, forming a flexible moisture barrier beneath tiles and finishes. It’s ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and other interior wet zones, and can also function as a bonding primer within approved build-ups where specified.

Once applied correctly, it forms a flexible, non-trafficable barrier that helps prevent surface water penetration and supports dependable protection under tiles and finishes.

Key Benefits

Sealer + Primer in one

Consolidates the surface and supports strong adhesive bond

Moisture management

Helps manage moisture, rising damp, and efflorescence on prepared substrates.

Negative-Side Resistance

Designed to resist negative-side moisture pressure

Strong adhesion

Strong adhesion to mineral substrates (masonry, concrete block, concrete, stone).

Single-component

Single-component (ready to use).

Fast application

Fast application by brush, roller, or airless spray.

High Flexibility

Extremely flexible to accommodate limited movement/vibration (refer to TDS).

Where To Use

Under-tile wet areas

Bathrooms / showers

Kitchens / worktops

Suitable over common building substrates including concrete, renders/screeds, fibre-cement sheeting, timber, wet area plasterboard, and plywood (as permitted by the system).

Important: PrimeLock WPM is non-trafficable and must be covered by tiles and finishes as specified.

Simple How-To

(Undertile wet areas)
1.
Prepare the surface

Ensure the substrate is structurally sound and free of dirt, dust, laitance, grease, paint, wax, oil, and loose contaminants.

2.
New concrete

Allow to cure at least 6 weeks.

3.
Old Concrete

Clean with commercial detergent/degreaser, rinse, then allow to dry at least 24 hours.

4.
Steel trowel / power float finishes

Mechanically abrade to expose aggregate.

5.
Apply coats per system

Allow approximately 4 hours at 20° C between coats; apply a second coat to fully cover; apply a third coat if needed and ensure no pinholes.

Do not cover with tiles/finishes for at least 24 hours after the final coat (longer in poor drying conditions).
