LEVELCORE® Polished Concrete Topping
A flawless polished‑concrete look—
installed fast, over new or existing floors.
Levelcore’s polished concrete topping is a high‑performance, polishable cementitious overlay that’s poured thin, then mechanically polished to a seamless, high‑end finish. It delivers the uniform aesthetics of premium polished concrete—without relying on the look or condition of the structural slab—making it ideal for internal commercial and residential spaces.
Product Description
A polished concrete topping (also called a polishable overlay) is a specialized, cement‑based layer installed over a prepared substrate at a controlled thickness. After placement, it’s ground, densified, and polished—just like a traditional slab—to achieve a durable, low‑maintenance, architectural finish with consistent color and sheen.
Key Benefits
Design control & consistency
Uniform color and finish across the entire floor; no unpredictable aggregate patterns or patchwork repairs telegraphing through.
Covers imperfect substrates
Levels and refreshes worn, stained, or patchy concrete without demolition.
Feather edge finish
Thin build and rapid systems shorten programs and reduce downtime.
Thin, lightweight build
Adds minimal height and weight versus installing a full new slab.
Customizable
Multiple sheens (matte to high gloss), tinting options, saw‑cut detailing, and decorative aggregate seeding available.
Seamless look
Large, continuous areas with planned movement joints; fewer visual breaks than tile or vinyl.
Sustainable choice
Avoids ripping out serviceable substrates; supports circular renovation by building over what’s there.
Predictable results
You get the polished‑concrete aesthetic without being at the mercy of whatever aggregate or defects are hiding in the existing slab.

Meet LEVELCORE Feather Finish, the fast track way to achieve a perfectly smooth, permanent surface before floorcovering. Engineered with a self drying, cement based matrix, the mix water is chemically converted within the product—so it doesn’t have to evaporate to dry. That means you can move from prep to installation in as little as 15 minutes on suitable substrates, keeping programs on schedule and minimizing downtime.
Feather Finish blends with clean water into a creamy, easytroweling mortar that glides on and bonds tenaciously. Use it to correct surface irregularities and create a feather edge finish across concrete, wood, ceramic and quarry tile—typically without priming or additives. The result is a dense, durable surface that helps eliminate common installation issues such as debonding, crumbling, mildew and staining.
Ideal under vinyl, carpet, and ceramic tile, Feather Finish is designed for interior use wherever a fast, consistent skim coat is essential—entrances, corridors, retail spaces, education and healthcare projects, and residential renovations. Finish smooth, install fast, and move on with confidence—backed by the LEVELCORE 10 Year Guarantee when installed as directed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a topping as durable as polished concrete?
Yes—both are concrete surfaces finished by mechanical polishing. A topping’s performance depends on mix design, thickness, prep quality, and the maintenance program
Will existing cracks go away?
Toppings can bridge cosmetic defects, but building movement still needs to be respected with planned joints. Some substrate conditions may reflect; we design to minimize this.
How long does it take?
Programs vary by area size, complexity, and cure times. Thin‑build overlays with rapid options can shorten schedules compared with heavy slab remediation.
Can I choose the exact shade and sheen?
Yes. We offer natural greys and integral color options, with matte, satin, or high‑gloss finishes.
Is it suitable for kitchens and cafés?
Yes—when paired with the right guard coat and cleaning regime. For grease/acidic exposure, we’ll specify a compatible maintenance plan
What about underfloor heating?
Compatible—just let us know the system so we can detail the build‑up and expansion strategy.
